Cavs sign Chris Crawford and Shane Edwards

The Cavaliers are filling out their training camp roster, signing guard Chris Crawford and forward Shane Edwards. The Cavaliers announced the roster moves this morning on their website.

Crawford played in 140 games over four years at The University of Memphis. He ranks among the top six in school history for three-pointers (third), steals (fourth) and games played (sixth). He went undrafted in this years NBA Draft, but did appear in five games for the Houston Rockets in this years summer league, averaging 10.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals.

Edwards played two games last year for the Cavaliers, but spent most of his season in the D-League with the Canton Charge. In 46 games for the Charge, he averaged 14.2 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.0 steal in 28.8 minutes per game.

These signings officially bring the roster up to 18, two below the required league minimum.
