Albeit just a scrimmage, Cavalier fans sold out the Quicken Loans Arena in order for the chance to see this team play since its' historic offseason. The first look at this team was impressive to say the least, and here is what we can take away from the intrasquad scrimmage.
1. The offense is already clicking.
One of the smaller question marks of this team was how quickly this offense would mesh together. Well, after just one night, it looks like it has already found the chemistry it needed. From the start, LeBron, Irving, Love and Waiters all seemed to be on the same page.
LeBron James on Kevin Love's outlet passes: "There's no one in the league that does that like him."

Love was already in rare form with his outlet passes, firing solid over-the-head passes up court to the likes of Irving, Waiters and LeBron, setting up for easy fast break points. The ball movement was on-point as well, as it seemed that every shot for the Cavs was an easy bucket. As noted in earlier, ball movement will be pivotal for this offense, and it definitely showed early on.
2. Dion Waiters is walking the walk.
Overlooked by the Big 3, Dion Waiters found away to impress tonight. After proclaiming that he and Kyrie have the best backcourt in the league, Waiters was able to back up that clause tonight with a stellar performance.
Offensively, he was able to hit open shot after open shot, and didn't seem to force a shot that wasn't there. He also added a big one-handed slam on fast break, showing that he can throw them down with anyone else in the league.
Although I don't think the Cavs have the best backcourt in the league (that belongs to Golden State), Waiters didn't give me any reason to say that they are not in the conversation.
