Cavalier fans have been waiting for the arrival of former Miami Heat guard Ray Allen ever since LeBron James announced his return to Cleveland. This morning, it was reported that an agreement between the Cavaliers and Ray Allen was a "done deal."

Cavs fans were excited to see another notable name sign with the Cavaliers. However, the excitement was premature, as new reports said that nothing was official between Allen and the Cavaliers.
Think a lot of us expect Ray Allen to wind up in Cleveland but early word this AM is that talk of a commitment or signing TODAY is premature

Reports of Ray Allen having signed with Cavs are not true, per league source.

UPDATE:
Allen's agent, Jim Tanner of Tandem Sports, released a statement regarding Allen's future:
Amid continued rumors and having spoken with Ray today, let me be very clear... (cont. 1/2)
— TANDEM (@_tandemse) October 7, 2014
Ray’s position has not changed. Ray has not decided if he will play this season nor has he signed w/ the @Cavs (2/2)

Allen, who played in his 18th season last year for the Miami Heat, averaged 9.3 points per game on 44 percent shooting (37.5 percent on three-pointers), which was a career-low for him.
If Stein's report is true, then a signing could be imminent. But for right now, Allen is currently a free agent and enjoying his time on the links.
